Body Worn Camera Policy Change

The Minneapolis Police Department announced changes to its Body Worn Camera Policy today, requiring officers to activate their cameras and begin recording upon dispatch to a call, or during any self-initiated activity. Contractually, the changes go into effect on Saturday, July 29th. Below, you’ll find a version of the old policy that also notes what has changed. You can also view the new policy which goes into effect on Saturday.
