Two Victims Injured in Afternoon Shooting

October 4, 2017 (MINNEAPOLIS) Officers from the Fifth Precinct responded to the 200 block of Lake Street West at approximately 3:33 p.m. in response to a 911 caller who heard the sound of gunshots. As officers were responding, the call was updated to a shooting. 

When officers arrived they located an adult male with a graze wound to his head and an adult female with a gunshot wound to the ankle. Officers provided medical care to the victims until paramedics arrived. The victims were transported to Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) by ambulance. Both victims’ injuries are considered non-life threatening. 

Investigators from the Minneapolis Police Department and the department’s crime lab responded to the scene. There is no suspect information that can be released at this time and no arrests.

A portion of the shooting was captured on surveillance cameras.
