Late Night Shooting Leaves Two Injured

June 15, 2017 (MINNEAPOLIS) Around 11:52 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14th, officers from the 4th Precinct responded to the 2800 block of Humboldt Avenue North on a report of a ShotSpotter activation. As they were responding to the area, the call was updated to a shooting.

When officers arrived, they located a 22-year-old male in the street with a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was transported to North Memorial Health Hospital (NMHH) by paramedics, and is said to be in critical condition.

A 23-year-old male, who received a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg in the same incident, checked into NMHH as officers processed the scene.

Investigators from the Minneapolis Police Department and the department’s crime lab responded to the scene. There is no suspect information that can be released at this time.
